«Sunny bunnies» or simply «glint» in context refers to a reflected glare; a sharply defined contrasting spot of light that appears on a surface due to the reflection of sunlight by a shiny object (glass, metal, mirror).
I was inspired by a childhood memory of observing for hours «sunny bunnies», as we used to call them in
Ukrainian. In this piece I tried to imitate their playful
nature and the childish ability to contemplate.
Performed during Bergen International Festival 2024.

Sophie Kauer - cello
This piece is referring to my childhood memory of hearing undefined sounds of high pitch during summer nights at my parents’ house. This sounds reminds of playing on glasses in fast tempo. They will appear from nothing and would be eating
by silence after, between sleep and reality.
In Fireflies I’m trying to refresh one’s memory through my own sound research.
Performed during International Young Composer Academy Ticino.
Written for International Contemporary Ensemble.
Written for trombone, alto saxaphone and tape,
«Arka» is archaic and primal, reaching back to the memories of the spirit of freedom in the Carpathian mountains, landscapes that take your breath away and a place where every stone holds a story. The sound of the trembita echoes through small bells ringing in a flock of sheep, and rain gathers, bringing storms and lightning to the mountains. Would
an old tree perfectly split in half by lightning become a trembita, sounding in the hands of the Hutsul folks signaling a birth, wedding, or the funeral of a hero? Trembita is a type of an alpine horn made of wood. It is common among Ukrainian highlander Hutsuls who live in western Ukraine. The text of «Arka» challenges musicians and listeners, utilizing the multifaceted abilities of the instruments, quoting original trembita signal melodies, imitating the timbre of a trembita and soundscapes of the surroundings, urging a departure from established paradigms, creating an aesthetic conflict. Is it a
work of art, or a collection of sounds, noises, and sudden collapses?
Written for Ivo Nilsson and Jörgen Pettersson.
This EAM piece is a collage of field recordings and electronic sounds that were made during a trip to Gdansk (including bells from several main churches in the historic center), the Bergman estate (capturing metal sounds, Bergman’s private
things), recordings of Electromagnetic Radiation and electronic noises. It serves as a personal investigation into my mental state, personal history, and emotions. It's akin to several pages from my own sound diary, aiding in my self-understanding
through different objects with a strong history.
The piece was written for Audiorama and reliesed on label OCHI in V/A FUNDRAISER COMPILATION "24.2.24" [ОЧІ 033].
This piece is written for two sopranos, violin, viola, double bass, trombone and
piano. Likitsary is an ancient village in Western Ukraine, lost deep in the mountains. Flint tools from
the Late Palaeolithic era, dating back approximately 15 thousand years, were discovered here. One summer, I spent time there with friends. The time of magic, internal struggle and immersion in the mysticism of Ukrainian legends. One of the legends say that a witch lived there, she created a miracle. Deep in the forest, I found the place where she was
buried, surrounded by stones lined up in a circle. I
improvised there for several hours and danced, making small rituals to evoke the memory I later brought into my «LIKITSARY».
